I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Philippians 1:3-6
Dear fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet you in the name of God the father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. As I reflect over these past years of pastoring First FWB Church, the only word I can use to sum up the experience is “awesome”! What a wonderful time we have had serving The Lord here. Serving as Pastor here is truly a humble calling that I do not take lightly or for granted. I speak truthfully from my heart when I say that I needed to cross paths with the wonderful people here. I thank God for this opportunity that He has bestowed upon me. Serving as pastor here has helped me in my spiritual growth through the preaching and teaching of God’s Word.
It is hard to find the words that can truly express my gratitude to this church family. You all have been kind, gracious, supportive, prayerful, and most of all understanding as I have tried to serve in the most humble way that I know how. Being a young pastor, I am thankful that you all have made serving a pleasurable experience for both my wife and I. Thank you so much for the trust and faith you have shown to The Lord with his leadership through myself. I continue to pray for strength as we attempt to follow His guidance in this journey to reaching the mark he would have for us. I also want to thank all of the officers, members, visitors, and the various ministries for your untiring efforts in pleasing God as we serve Him.
Let us strive to grow in the knowledge, grace, and truth of Him. Believe it or not, for all that we have seen in the past years, God has even more in store for His church and His people. I encourage your continued prayers in my ministry here. I pray that the God of grace, mercy, and peace will forever be in your lives, your homes, and every endeavor you undertake. Thank you all again for the wonderful experience that you have given me in this position that God has called me to. Let us always live for Jesus and look for His return; loving one another in brotherly love and serving him in spirit and in truth. Know that you all are special to me and I carry a love for you in my heart that is unsurpassed.
Your Humble Servant in Christ,
Pastor Chris McEachern
